Frutiger Aero, roughly 2005 to 2013 and peaking around 2007 to 2012: Windows Vista and 7, the first iPhones, the Wii. Glossy textures, cloudy skies, water, bubbles, glass, lens flare and nature imagery, named in 2017 by Sofi Lee of the Consumer Aesthetics Research Institute.
GPU-composited desktops made real-time transparency and glow cheap for the first time, and the era's eco-optimism supplied the imagery. It is the refined, corporate successor to Y2K futurism, and distinct from it. Every object got a highlight ellipse, every floor a reflection.
A blue-to-green gradient sky, a glossy hill, bokeh circles, a lens flare and water droplets are cached once. The figure is gel-shaded: faces by light, a sheen down the whole body, a highlight ellipse on the top third of the head. It is drawn into a layer and stamped twice, flipped at 20% below the feet, then upright.
