Corporate Memphis, also called Alegria: the flat-vector people of tech landing pages from about 2017 to 2023, after Facebook adopted the look. Elongated elastic arms, small heads, mismatched proportions, bright solid skin in blue or purple, no texture and no outlines, everyday activities, a plant and a laptop.
SVG illustration systems let non-illustrators assemble scenes cheaply, which was cheaper than stock photography and easier than skeuomorphism. The origin is traced to Apple's 2013 move away from texture. By 2023 it was criticised as lazy and oversaturated, which is how a UI trend ends.
The rig supplies joints, not boxes: legs and arms are thick round-capped quadratic curves from hip to foot and shoulder to hand, bowing outward. The torso is the body hull with its corners rounded. The head is a circle a ninth of the height, hands are 1.4 times, skin is purple, there are four colours and no strokes except the glasses.
